Our Mission

We are too lucky to be born where we are. Some aren't.

That single truth sits behind everything we do at MYKONY. It's easy to forget how much of a life is decided before a child ever gets a say in it — where they're born, whether their family is stable, whether school is even an option. We didn't have to earn the ground we started on. Most of the world does.

MYKONY began with two people who believe deeply in family, in stability, and in what a good foundation can do for a child's future. We've seen, in our own lives, how much of who we become is built on things we never had to fight for — a home, a routine, a school to walk into every morning without question.

Education is one of the clearest levers a family has. A child who is in school, consistently and with dignity, has a different future ahead of her than a child who isn't. And for many girls around the world, something as ordinary as a uniform can be the line between attending and not — the cost, the shame of not having one, the practical barrier it represents to a family already stretched thin.

We wanted MYKONY to stand for something beyond beautiful resort wear. So we built the mission into the business itself, not around it.

For every dress sold, we donate a school uniform to a girl in need.

It's a simple mechanic, deliberately so. When you choose a MYKONY dress, you're not just choosing natural fabrics and thoughtful design — you're extending the same stability and opportunity you may have been lucky enough to be born into, to a girl who wasn't.

We currently partner with the Kamboo Project, an NGO working to support children's access to safe, stable education. As MYKONY grows, our goal is to build relationships with more charities across the globe, so that every dress sold can create impact for children in different communities and countries who need it most.

We don't see this as charity in the traditional sense. We see it as balance. Every MYKONY piece is made to last, made from natural fibres, and made with intention — and we believe the impact behind it should be made with the same care.
